Project Planning and Estimation back to top

The Construction Management Office provides project estimating services to the entire campus community.  Estimating campus projects is unique and the estimating team has knowledge of the specialized services that need to be provided at a complex educational institution.  This expertise includes everything from specialized research, wet and dry labs, infrastructure, classrooms, offices, etc.

One important aspect of our services is that the estimating team has a unique background with the campus.  This enables them to pull together estimates that take into consideration the university's review process, standards and procedures. Estimating costs are critical in the development of a project. Understanding and refining project costs are essential to the success of a project.

The university is unique; and external estimators, architects, engineers and contractors may not be familiar with the intricacy of the campus. Campus project review processes are complex and require input from various campus committees and groups.  Our estimators have access to historical project cost information on different types of university facilities, making accurate estimating possible.  The estimators can aid in establishing the project soft costs as well as the construction costs.

The level of service can be tailored to specific project needs and budgets.  We can provide planning estimates to help guide clients in developing future budgets as well as construction estimates based on detailed plans and specifications.
