In addition to maps, floor plans and blueprints for ASU buildings
and properties,
FM Engineering
provides a number of services including utility locates,
floor plan drawings, indoor climate controls, and campus signage.
Digs and excavations require services of the campus Utility
Mapping Technician, contacted through the Arkansas One-Call network.
Customers can also request online access to floor plan drawings
through the Space Management Coordinator. The HVAC team
handles hot and cold calls regarding indoor climate controls.
The Sign Shop provides signage and industry contacts to the campus
community.
ASU is now a member of the Arkansas One-Call
Network. The process for requesting utility locates is now
greatly simplified. For any Jonesboro campus excavation work,
contractors and ASU services personnel only need contact Arkansas
One-Call at 1-800-426-8998
Utility Mapping/GIS Technician also provides:
Locates utilities for sign installation,
construction, tent installation that requires stakes driven, or
any general digging
Locates campus
owned utilities such as gas, water, sewer, phone, and power
lines
Maintains
various campus maps such as vicinity maps and utility map
The Space
Audit Team performs ongoing surveys of all campus rooms and
space with regard to floor plan accuracy, square footage,
room/space utilization, ownership, and occupancy. The
Space Management Coordinator provides a standard room numbering
convention for all buildings on campus. To update floor
plans and fire escape routes, or for any questions concerning
square footage call 680-4714.
Other services and
responsibilities of Space Management:
FM Energy Management team manages indoor climate
controls for the entire campus. This includes climate controls from chiller plant operations down
to individual buildings and offices. Behind the scenes we try to conserve energy by shutting down
equipment that is not being used and using night time setbacks for unoccupied spaces. The campus
has a hodgepodge of control systems ranging from new to very old. We strive to keep all of them in working order.

interior and exterior signage. For questions regarding signage

room identification signs, plaques, vehicle decals, posters and

items not in stock, and has the ability to create custom awards.
